This is the Garmin Nüvi 350 3.5-inch portable navigator. It’s a great mid to lower priced GPS receiver, packed with features.

What I like about the Nüvi 350

  • It has a big memory–700 MB.
  • In addition to showing you maps, it has MP3/audiobook capability.
  • It also has a photo viewer and a world travel clock built-in.
  • It comes pre-loaded with maps covering Canada, the U.S. and Puerto Rico. These maps cover all metropolitan areas, as well as all rural areas.
  • Nearly 6 million points of interest are covered. (You can could find a Starbucks in Everglades City, Florida, for instance–that is, if there is one. :) )
  • It is truly pocket-sized, and weighs only 5.1 oz.
  • The lithium battery will last up to 8 hours before it needs recharging. It comes with a 12-volt adapter for the car.
  • It has turn-by-turn voice directions. In other words, when you get near a turn, it actually tells you what to do so you don’t have to look at the screen while driving.
  • There are plenty of other features, such as a five-language bilingual dictionary.
  • It comes with a suction-cup mount for your car, a carrying case, an adapter, a dashboard disk (so you can mount it to your dash), a USB cable, some sample MP3s, and a quick reference guide.

What People Are Saying About The Nüvi 350

  • It is very compact.
  • It announced the names of the streets when you need to turn. This greatly reduces the need to actually look at the screen while driving.
  • The screen is bright and readable in all types of light.
  • It is simple to use.
  • It allows you to select and change your route while driving.

All in all for the price, this is a great mid-priced unit. Check it out at Amazon today!

One Response to “Garmin Nüvi 350 3.5-Inch Portable GPS Navigator”

  1. […] The Nüvi 200 and the Nüvi 250 are essentially the same, except the 200 comes with only local maps, whereas the 250 is preloaded for the entire North American continent. All in all, the 200 series is what you want if you’re only interested in basic navigation. For more bells and whistles, you’ll need to upgrade to at least the Nüvi 350. […]
